Grammarly to soon roll out ChatGPT like AI powered writing assistant called GrammarlyGO

1 Mins read

Grammarly is a popular tool for fixing grammar, spelling, punctuation, and even detecting plagiarism in your writing. Among other features, the tool allows you to set tone, increase engagement, and use context-specific language.

In a recent blog post, the company announced that it will roll out a new “contextually aware assistant powered by generative AI” called GrammarlyGo. Similar to ChatGPT, the new AI-powered assistant will be able to write from scratch or help revise existing text whether you are writing an email or working on a document.

What can GrammarlyGo do?

With Grammarly’s generative AI, users can rewrite existing text and improve tone, length and clarity, or type prompts and generate new content. Like ChatGPT, it will be able to create content from prompts and even help you reply by quickly understanding the email context.

The company says GrammarlyGo will offer a personalized experience by identifying your writing style by letting users set preferred voice and their professional roles. The AI assistant can also help people generate text from existing workflows which will help them save time spent on revisions and focus on more important things.

Where and when can I use GrammarlyGo?

GrammarlyGo will be available on Grammarly for Windows and Mac, Grammarly for Chrome, and the Grammarly Editor and can be used with services like Gmail, Google Docs, LinkedIn, Microsoft Word, and Medium.

The company plans to roll out GrammarlyGo sometime in April for all Grammarly Premium, Grammarly Business, Grammarly for Education, and Grammarly Free customers. It will initially be available to those living in the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Australia with a wider rollout expected in the near future. However, there is no word on when it will be coming to India.
