Learning the Basics of AI for free.

1 Mins read

Finland launched a free online crash course in artificial intelligence with the aim of educating its citizens about the new technology.  But recently, European Union has made the course available for anyone to take.
Finland is relinquishing the EU’s rotating presidency at the end of the year, and decided to translate its course into every EU language as a gift to citizens. But there is no restriction as to who can take the course, so really it’s to everyone’s consumption. About 10 Million individuals have registered for this course.

The course titled: Elements of AI is available in about four languages: English, German, Finnish and Sweden.

There are other websites for people who wish to learn the basics of AI, but this opportunity seems good if interested. It’s nicely designed, offers assessment and quiz at the end of each section, and covers a range of topics from the philosophical implications of AI to technical subjects. It’s supposed to take about six weeks to finish, with each section taking between five and 10 hours respectively.
