For over a decade, WhatsApp has been the choice of many people. It’s a means of communication between lots of friends, families, and even enemies. You’d be surprised to know the deep things people do with WhatsApp.

Although, many have criticized WhatsApp for some of the limitations it brings with it – like the inability to use a customized theme, restrictions in the number of forwarded messages.

Also, there is restriction in the number of people that can be in a group. A couple of other restrictions. However, this has not stopped 2 billion people from using the app to share texts and files everyday.

The launching of WhatsApp Business also gave business owners the means to relate with their customers easily. WhatsApp status is also an interesting part of WhatsApp, and this has been getting a lot of people creative with fun on WhatsApp.

I don’t really understand why someone might want to transfer WhatsApp chats from one phone number to another, but I understand we all have different preferences, so, I won’t intrude.

Transferring chats from one number on a device to another number on a different device is actually very simple, if you think about it. It is worthy to note that the devices you are transferring between have to be on the same platform – Android to Android, or iOS to iOS.

To transfer WhatsApp chats from one number to another, follow these steps:
Make sure you have access to receive SMS on both numbers before you start.

Step 1:

Go to settings on the old WhatsApp.

Go to Account.

Select “Change number”.

Enter your old number, then enter the new number.

Click next.

Within seconds, or minutes, all user information, groups, and everything attached to the old number would be migrated to the new number.
