The Samsung Galaxy S series has been a beacon of innovation and performance in the smartphone market. With the anticipation mounting for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, leaks and speculations have begun to surface, giving a glimpse into what could be Samsung’s next flagship smartphone.

Samsung lovers gather here, let’s explore the next big thing to be launched in January 2024.

Design Insights

Recently leaked renders and alleged hands-on images have hinted at the potential appearance of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Tipster David Martin on his X (formerly Twitter) handle showcased live images of what is believed to be a silver variant of the device. The leaked images reveal a handset resembling its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, with a striking difference—a flat screen and back panel.

The handset showcased a quad-camera setup housed within individual metal rings on the rear, while the physical buttons were positioned on the right side. Additionally, a center-hole punch selfie camera was noted on the display. The S Pen, synonymous with the Ultra series, is expected to be positioned at the base of the device, slightly protruding.

Specifications and Features

The Galaxy S24 Ultra, bearing the model number SM-S928B/DS, recently surfaced on the BIS website and Geekbench. Reports suggest it might be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, potentially featuring overclocked GPU and CPU cores. The phone is anticipated to offer 12GB RAM + 256GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variants.

The quad-camera system on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to include a formidable 200-megapixel primary sensor, accompanied by a 50-megapixel periscope camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. A 5,000mAh battery is speculated to power the device, supported by 45W fast charging capabilities. Additionally, the handset might boast a robust titanium frame.

Expected Launch and Availability

Rumors circulating suggest that Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event for 2024 is slated to occur in San Jose, US, on January 17, 2024. It is speculated that pre-orders for the Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, could commence on the same day, with general sales projected to start on January 30.

With the leaks showcasing an intriguing blend of advanced features and design elements, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra promises to be a significant player in the smartphone arena, setting the stage for an exciting technological leap forward.
