One of the Apps I was very eager to install on my iOS When I upgraded from Android was the Truecaller App. While using true caller on Andriod I could unmask anonymous calls, identify unsaved contacts and spot hoax and Scam calls. On iOS, the truecaller App is no different from the regular call dialer.
I have some good news for iPhone users: After years of struggling with Caller ID issues, iPhone users can finally rejoice as the popular caller identification app, has announced that its service will now work seamlessly on iPhones, thanks to Apple’s iOS 18 update.
This update will now allow Truecaller to function similarly to its Android counterpart, providing real-time caller identification and spam detection.
What Changed?
Previously, Truecaller’s Caller ID feature was hindered by Apple’s strict privacy policies, which limited the app’s ability to collect caller ID information in real-time. However, with iOS 18, Apple has introduced new APIs that enables third-party apps like Truecaller to access this information while maintaining user privacy.
Alan Mamedi, Truecaller’s co-founder and CEO, expressed his excitement about the update, stating that iPhone users will finally experience the full potential of Truecaller
“Soon we will hopefully hear people say, ‘Truecaller finally works on iPhone,'” he said.
What to Expect from the Update
With the new update, iPhone users can enjoy:
– Real-Time Caller Identification: Automatically identify unknown numbers without manual searching.
– Improved Spam Detection: Enhanced algorithms to detect and block unwanted calls.
– Seamless Integration: Truecaller will integrate with Apple’s default phone app to show results directly in the call log.
The updated Truecaller app for iPhone has been completely rewritten from the ground up, offering a lighter, more efficient, and feature-rich experience. This change brings the iPhone app on par with its Android counterpart, providing:
– Up to 10 Times Better Spam and Business Identification
– Faster and More Accurate Caller ID
– Huge Design Refresh and New User Experience Flow
iPhone users can now download the latest version of Truecaller from the App Store and enjoy a superior communication experience
