The Grooming Endowment Trust (GET) has announced the launch of its third cohort for the GET Accelerated program, implemented in partnership with Kick-off Africa. This initiative aims to support 10 exceptional Nigerian startup founders, building on the success of previous cohorts where 20 startups received over 150 million Naira in equity-free funding and resources.
The program, designed to foster innovation and economic growth in Nigeria’s startup ecosystem, will kick off with a three-day boot camp in Lagos, followed by a twelve-week virtual accelerator. It will conclude with a Demo Day where startups can pitch for additional funding and network with investors.
Michael Adoghe, Operations Manager at GET, highlighted the program’s evolution: “This year, we’re incorporating a hybrid approach, providing dedicated coaches and broader opportunities for startups.” The initiative focuses on various sectors, including healthtech and edtech.
Benefits for selected startups include financial support, mentorship, networking opportunities, skill development, and market access. The program aims to catalyze growth, foster innovation, and build resilience among participating startups.
Eligibility criteria include the following:
- Must be a registered startup with at least 2 of the founders in Nigeria.
- Must be at the pre-seed or seed stages.
- Must be registered and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.
- Must be ready to engage deeply with our network of mentors, investors, and fellow innovators.
Success stories from previous cohorts include Smallchops.ng and MyFoodAngels, whose founders reported significant growth and refined business processes following their participation.
Aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators are encouraged to apply for this transformative opportunity to scale their businesses and make a lasting impact in their industries.
