Applications open for second cohort of HatchDev Program in Nigeria

Moniepoint, a leading digital financial services provider, has announced that applications are now open for the second cohort of HatchDev, a specialized tech training program in collaboration with NITHub Unilag.

HatchDev aims to develop junior software engineers, systems developers, and IoT engineers over nine months to help fill Nigeria’s tech talent gap. The intensive curriculum covers front-end, back-end, mobile development, UI/UX design, data science, and embedded systems.

The first cohort kicked off in October 2022 and has already successfully placed trainees into industry jobs. Now applications are open until February 18th for the next round of aspiring tech professionals.

To apply, candidates should have foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Selected participants will undergo six months of hands-on training from industry experts, followed by a three-month internship to gain practical work experience.

Upon completion, trainees will have the skills and portfolio to launch careers as full-stack developers or related roles to meet high market demand.
